A Family in Paris: a Spacious Apartment, a Quiet Neighbourhood and a Door of Your Own

A Family in Paris: a Spacious Apartment, a Quiet Neighbourhood and a Door of Your Own

A family stay in Paris is measured in simple things: a room for everyone, a large table for dinner, a garden nearby and quiet at night. Three neighbourhoods in the heart of Paris, and what each one offers a family.

A family arriving in Paris is not looking only for beds. It is looking for a place to live: to eat together, to rest after a long day, to keep to the children's routine. A hotel room, however spacious, remains a room. An apartment is a home.

The neighbourhood first

We recommend choosing the neighbourhood first, and only then the apartment. ACT 3 chooses its addresses across Paris. Here are three neighbourhoods in the heart of the city, seen through a family's eyes.

Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The Left Bank, between the Seine and the Luxembourg garden. The garden is the neighbourhood's living room: avenues of chestnut trees, green chairs, the great pond where children sail boats. All around are bookshops, cafés and quiet streets near the church of Saint-Sulpice.

The Upper Marais. Seventeenth-century mansions turned museums: the Musée Picasso, the Musée Carnavalet, which tells the history of Paris, and the Musée des Arts et Métiers, where children discover inventions. Nearby are the Square du Temple and the oldest covered market in the city.

The 2nd. The smallest arrondissement in Paris, and one of the most convenient: the covered passages, the market street of rue Montorgueil, and the Opéra and the Palais-Royal gardens close by.

Then space

For a family, it is not only the square metres that matter, but how they are divided.

  • · Two to four bedrooms, and up to eight guests depending on the apartment.
  • · Bathrooms. Some of the apartments have a bathroom for each bedroom, and the morning stops being a queue.
  • · An equipped kitchen and a large dining table, for shared meals at home.
  • · Air conditioning in every apartment, a detail that matters a great deal in summer.
  • · For the little ones. A high chair in almost all our apartments, and a baby cot in several of them: tell us your children's ages and we will point you to the equipped apartment.

Privacy and quiet

An apartment gives you what a hotel does not: a door of your own, no shared corridors and no strangers around you, and quiet while the children sleep. We personally know every home we offer, and we choose buildings with character at good addresses.

Our concierge is available seven days a week and the team can be reached at any hour: an airport transfer, a restaurant table, a last-minute request. Before your arrival, during your stay and after it, you speak with the same team.

For a long stay

When you stay a week or more, it is worth telling us in advance about your children's ages, your arrival time and how you would like the bedrooms arranged, so that the home is ready for your first evening. For a particularly long stay, write to us: a discount can be considered, and the invoice can be issued in your company's name.

Live the city, not a hotel

You can browse the collection, the Saint-Germain-des-Prés page or the family apartments. When you book direct, you get the best available rate, with no service fees added to the price, and free cancellation more than 30 days before arrival. For those interested in the Jewish heritage of Paris, we have also written a guide to the Marais and the Pletzl.
