Apartment or Hotel in Paris? What a Gulf Family Really Needs

Apartment or Hotel in Paris? What a Gulf Family Really Needs

When the whole family travels together, the question is not how many stars, but privacy, space and a way of living. A calm reading of the difference between a hotel and an apartment, from our apartments in the heart of Paris.

The family arrives in Paris, with the children, perhaps the grandmother, sometimes the nanny. In a hotel, that means several rooms scattered along a long corridor, and doors that close between members of the same family. In an apartment, it means a single home, with a living room where everyone gathers and a bedroom for each. That is the difference at its heart; everything else is detail.

Privacy above all

For Gulf families, privacy is not a luxury but a foundation. In a hotel, staff and guests pass along the corridors, and the lobby becomes a public space there is no avoiding. In an apartment, the door closes on the family alone. You receive your guests in your own living room and dine at your own table, with no one passing between you.

Our apartments in Paris are designed for this kind of stay: two to four bedrooms, sleeping up to eight depending on the apartment. Many have as many bathrooms as bedrooms, which changes the rhythm of the morning in a large family.

The kitchen and the table

In a hotel, every meal is taken outside the room or through room service. In an apartment, an equipped kitchen allows a quiet breakfast before going out, a light meal for a tired child in the evening, or tea after a long day of shopping. And all our apartments are air-conditioned, a detail that counts in the Parisian summer.

For those who wish to find restaurants serving halal food, our concierge team can suggest addresses near the apartment and book the table in advance.

Service: what remains of the hotel

One might think an apartment means giving up service. Not with us. Every stay is run to the standards of a boutique hotel: a personal welcome, fine bed linen, a dedicated concierge seven days a week, and a team that can be reached at any hour. A restaurant booking, an airport transfer, a last-minute request: the city becomes our concierge.

Not a hotel. Not an ordinary residence. Something in between, combining the privacy of a home with the precision of hotel service.

In the heart of Paris

We choose our addresses across Paris, one by one, by the same standard: a lively neighbourhood, a building with character, a city discovered on foot. Neighbourhoods lived on foot, where the family returns in the evening as it would return home. Our guides on the Paris neighbourhoods page introduce each of them, so that you can choose the neighbourhood before the apartment.

When the hotel is the better choice

In all honesty: if the stay is one or two nights, or the traveller is alone, a hotel may be enough. But when the whole family travels, the stay lasts several days and guests come to visit, an apartment gives what a room cannot: a single place that brings everyone together.

Booking direct gives you the best available rate with no service fees added to the price, a single point of contact before, during and after the stay, and free cancellation more than 30 days before arrival. Live the city, not a hotel.
